Feeling Good Institute NYC is looking for a postdoc in psychology or a social work intern for a paid clinical position.
The NYC branch of the Feeling Good Institute (FGI) is looking for a CBT-informed therapist-in-training to join our staff.
We ask a lot of our interns/postdocs, and the quality of their treatment and training is very important to us.

– Minimum two-year commitment
– This is a paid postdoc or internship position: $25 per clinical treatment hour.
Career Benefits:
This position will include the following training and treatment commitments:
a. Treating patients in a private practice-style outpatient clinic up to 20 hrs per week divided into 2 or 3 days (Tuesday/Friday and the possibility of a weekend day.)
b. One hour of individual supervision per 10 patient hours per week with Dr. Taylor Chesney, PsyD.
c. Weekly 1.5 hour on-site CBT training and consultation group with staff Mondays at 11 a.m.
d. Weekly 1-hr online supervision/consultation group with other FGI therapists on Wednesdays at 3 p.m.

What is the Feeling Good Institute? Our practice is dedicated to providing quality CBT for patients seeking tools for change, as well as training clinicians in CBT. We are both a treatment center and a community for therapists looking for advanced training in CBT. The Feeling Good Institute has offices in both NYC and Mountain View, CA. At the Institute, we practice a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) developed by Dr. David Burns, at Stanford University, called TEAM-CBT.

Ideal candidate: Post-doctoral candidate in psychology, or social work intern earning hours toward a clinical license, with at least some background in CBT. Must be passionate about further developing clinical skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will want to learn how to build their own client base and learn skills to build a thriving private practice.
